Vodacom Durban July Race
This annual event which takes place in the first week of July in Durban is now known internationally with people from all over Southern Africa and abroad making their annual migration down to Durban.
From a horseracing event of South Africa's best thoroughbreds, in this ZAR3.5 million race it is now also a fashionista's paradise from your locals to celebrities donning their very best on the day....looking their best! A place to be and to be seen....

Red Eye Festival
The Loeries Creative Week happens in Durban 15-21 August 2016
This started off as an art project in Durban which originally took place at the Durban Art Gallery in 1998 and became legendary. The festival attracted record crowds to the gallery to celebrate art on display. It now returns to Durban as #REDEYEDURBAN. This will now occur on the first Friday of the month starting on Friday November 7 @ The Bakery. The show runs from 18h00 to 00h00.
Bookings can be made via Facebook, on Webtickets.co.za(see below), at the door(R100.00pp; R80.00 for students, children under 12 enter free of charge).

Karkloof Farmers Market
A fresh produce market which offers high quality, fresh produce from local farmers and is located in the Natal Midlands.
This is a unique indoor market and has a good variety of stalls selling everything from fresh vegetables and fruit to scumptious home-baked eats & organic products.
Occurs on the last Saturday of every month from 8am to 1pm in the Durban North area. Supports the Durban homegrown food market.
Market at the Square( Night Market)
This market sells farm fresh ingredients and artisan goods and is located in Rivertown, Durban's new Arts and Cultural precint.
This a night market, the first in Umhlanga at the Granada Square courtyard situated at 16 Chartwell drive in Umhlanga
The last Friday of every month : 6pm-10pm
Situated on Stephen Dlamini Road(the old Essenwood road) in the Musgrave area) this market is located at a park and has a pleasant natural setting.
